The singles draw of the WTA Mandatory-level event in Indian Wells was made on Monday afternoon. Elina is seeded 10th and for the third consecutive year she has a first round bye.

In the second round she will face the winner of the match between Ukrainian Kateryna Bondarenko and Wang Qiang of China. Elina will play in Indian Wells for the fifth time and her best result is the fourth round in 2015. Last year she lost to Italian Robert Vinci in the third round.

Coming into BNP Paribas Open, Elina has already won two WTA titles this season - in Taiwan and Dubai, recorded 13-match winning streak and made a debut in the top-10 in the WTA rankings.
