In the final match of the Premier 5-level event in Dubai Elina defeated former World No. 1 Caroline Wozniacki 6-4 6-2 to win her second title of the season.

One break in the fifth game was enough for Elina to take the first set of the final. Wozniacki had chances to break back at 4-5 but Elina was able to save a triple breakpoint to clinch the opener. After trading breaks to start the second set, Elina took the lead after a break at 2-all. She also won the next four games to win the biggest title of her career.

- Right now I'm very, very happy, it's a great relief and big happiness - Elina admitted during her on-court interview after the final. - It's tough to play against Wozniacki, she is such a fighter. I think it was a good match. These two sets - they were very difficult. My forehand was on fire tonight? I worked on it for many years (laughs). I am also happy for my coaches, I hope the two of them, who are not with me at the tournament, they did watch the final too. Oh, I have mixed feelings now. Thank you all for your support during the week!

Elina is now on her 12-match winning streak and has won tonight her 17th match this year. On Monday she will make her debut in the top-ten in the WTA Rankings rising from WTA No.13 to No.10.

Next week Elina will go to Malaysia to defend her title in Kuala Lumpur.
